European China Conference 2024
Germany
The European China Conference 2024 will take place on Tuesday, November 19 in Berlin.
This event will again bring together a diverse group of high-level policymakers and experts from all over Europe to discuss how to respond to the multitude of challenges posed by the developments in China’s economic, foreign and security policy.
Two weeks after the US presidential election, the conference is timed to convene the first in-depth evaluation of the result and its impact on Europe. High-level representatives from European governments, think-tanks and the private sector will discuss the way forward for European China policy and transatlantic cooperation on China. Recalibrating Europe’s course in a disruptive geopolitical environment will be one of the first tasks of the new EU Commission and remains an ongoing challenge for governments and companies.
The European China Conference is a collaborative project between the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS). Building on the success of three previous conferences, the event is designed to drive the China debate among key stakeholders across Europe.
Please note that the event is by personal invitation only.
